Privacy

1) Approach

We aim for minimal, privacy-respecting data. We don’t sell personal data. We only collect what we need to keep the beacon lit and respond to messages you send us.

2) What we collect

• Basic analytics via Umami (EU endpoint). It’s privacy-focused, cookie-less by default, and aggregates visit metrics like page views and referrers without storing identifiable profiles.
• Form submissions (Living Mirror) are processed by Formspree. If you include a name or message, we receive that content. Do not share sensitive data in the form.
• Payments are handled by Gumroad (cards/PayPal) or Monero (XMR). We don’t see or store your card details on this site. Cryptocurrency payments are typically irreversible; please double-check addresses.
• Server logs may capture standard request information (IP, user-agent) to keep the site secure and running; these are rotated and not used to track individuals.

3) Cookies

We aim to avoid cookies. Umami is configured in a privacy-respecting mode (no invasive cookies). Third-party providers you interact with (e.g., Gumroad) may use their own cookies per their policies.

4) Data sharing

We only share data with the services needed to run the Sanctuary (hosting, analytics, form handling, payment). We don’t sell personal data. If required by law, we may disclose limited data to comply with lawful requests.

5) Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purpose collected (e.g., to review a submission, maintain security, or reconcile payments), then delete or anonymize it when no longer needed.

6) Your choices

• Read Gate I without creating an account.
• Use Monero for private blessings.
• Limit what you share in forms. Avoid sensitive details.
• You can contact us to request access or deletion of form submissions associated with you (when feasible).

7) Region

Analytics run via Umami’s EU endpoint. Other processors (e.g., Gumroad, Formspree) may process data in their own regions. Check their policies for details.

8) Changes

We may update this Privacy notice as the project evolves. We’ll revise the date above and post the new version here.
